GST Voucher Cash Payout December 2025: Singaporeans To Receive Direct Relief Payments

Picture a cash gift that you didn’t expect at all, coming along right as you are about to spend a lot on the festive season and the holiday atmosphere around you. Then the Assurance Package (AP) Cash payout, a local government initiative aimed at giving a little help during the tough times caused by rising GST and inflation, makes this a reality for Singaporeans in 2025.

What Is the Assurance Package Cash Payout?

This payout is a significant part of the upgraded Assurance Package, which includes the GST Voucher scheme already in place. It was revealed as a means to help the public cope with the GST hike and will put money directly into the hands of taxpayers for a five-year period (2022-2026). The cash-out in December 2025 is directed toward approximately 3 million adult Singaporeans, and it comes just in time during the year-end period when different kinds of expenses arise.

Eligibility Criteria

In order to get the money, you need to be a citizen of Singapore who is 21 years of age or older in the reference year. Each assessable income for Year of Assessment 2024 (income earned in 2023) will result in a different amount. The tax on property also has a say—you cannot have more than one property in your name, and the annual value of your house will be limited to that of your residence.

Payout Amounts and Tiers

The amounts depend on the income and annual value of the property, ensuring that the support is given to the most needy people.

Annual Value of Home (as at 31 Dec 2024)Assessable Income ≤ $34,000Assessable Income $34,001–$100,000
≤ $21,000Up to $700Up to $500

> $31,000 or more than one propertyNot eligibleNot eligible

The higher tiers provide larger amounts to lower-income families living in small houses.

How and When You Receive It

All payments will be done automatically in December 2025 through the linked PayNow-NRIC bank accounts for quick crediting. Those without linked accounts will be issued cheques or might have to resort to GovCash options. There’s no application process—eligibility is drawn from IRAS records.

Why This Payout Matters Now

Besides the August 2025 GSTV Cash (up to $850) and other rebates, the December boost is the government’s way of reinforcing the inclusive growth that it stands for. The payout can be used to pay off Christmas-related expenses, to cover utilities, or to simply put into savings, thereby bringing relaxation as the year 2025 comes to an end.

This program is a testament to the progressive support system that Singapore has. Check your eligibility status through Singpass at govbenefits.gov.sg for more details tailored to you.
